The Battle With Acid Reflux
Have you ever heard of anyone drinking Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) to cure common aches and pains ? Neither did I.
I believe I have suffered from GERD, heartburn, or acid reflux. Whatever you want to call it.
Symptoms of acid reflux are very difficult to explain. It’s hard to describe where the pain starts and where it ends.
A major sign is belching up of acid that scorches the throat; which is sometimes accompanied with food particles. Other symptoms include upset stomach, and sometimes just a bit of nausea. There can be headaches. There is usually a tenderness in the region just below the rib cage.
The throat and neck area will feel spongy, and sometimes this makes it hard to swallow. This comes and goes.
Not always the case, but sometimes fireworks explode in the upper back. Pain comes and goes in the upper back and neck area, which sometimes can get very intense. The pain in the back radiates between the shoulder blades; other times this area will be sore and tender.
The symptoms can linger. Anxiety often produces the symptoms, and the symptoms often produce anxiety. The pain can occasionally last for what seems like endless hours.
Prescription medicines often mask the symptoms.
The Effervescent Pain Relief (Family Dollar Generic) is a very good product. Alka-Seltzer offers a similar product.
The remedy — is to drink 2 Teaspoons in 8 oz. water, once a day, or as needed. This really helps acid reflux and other ailments. Also, pure honey is said to help.
Other suggestions — Elevate the head while sleeping. Eat the last meal several hours before bedtime. Eat sparingly (or none) tomatoes, tomato paste, onions, and spicy foods. Avoid coffee, dark sodas, and chocolates. Drink plenty of water. Avoid stress; stress will bring about the symptoms more often.
The majority of these type problems stem from overeating. The long-term solution is to eat lighter meals more often as opposed to heavy meals. Studies have shown that the thinner we are, the better we feel.
And remember, life is a romance. Relax, and enjoy your day. This part is entirely up to you.
