Turn your HDTV into a SmartTV!

Finally a way to watch YouTube videos and streaming movies on HDTV. I am excited about this capability. For those that do not feel like being glued to the desk for hours, finally a solution to the problem. It’s called Google Chromecast HDMI Streaming Media Player. Chromecast has been around since July of 2013.

With Chromecast: “You can easily enjoy your favorite online entertainment on your HDTV—movies, TV shows, music, and more from Netflix, YouTube, Hulu Plus, Google Play Movies and Music, and Chrome.”

I don’t know about you but I am happy to see this and I will be getting one very soon. I was looking for a way to watch YouTube on television and this is my cue.

And the best part…only around $35. In these tough economic times it matters.

I also like the convenience of the Dongle. Just plug and play. I understand that there is some kind of antenna or extender, and I do believe that there is no limit to the TV’s that can be accessed in any room. What’s not to like here?

Using a smartphone, tablet, or laptop the WiFi magic begins.

Of course Google wants to get in on the TV entertainment business. They want access to your HDMI port. No doubt. The low price is a very strong selling point. And the ease of use is convenient. Simplicity is always a plus.
