Enjoy Fiber Optics For Only $350 Per Month
Chattanooga, Tennessee is going high tech on several levels of communication and infrastructure. The big buzz now is about Chattanooga having bragging rights of the fastest internet speed in the United States. That speed is 250 times that of the average internet speed. Now that is something to brag about. Eat your heart out Silicon Valley!
While most of us possess a DSL connection, it seems that fiber optics is going to be the clear ultimate winner in the near future. South Korea and Japan have possessed these types of speeds for several years now. Obviously it is very expensive to install a fiber optics network across a big nation. A clear advantage on that horizon, is the small size of both Asian countries. The beauty of it all is the ultra-high speeds are affordable in Asia. They take technology very seriously.
In the United States, the matter is quite different. This ultra-high speed internet is going to be way too expensive for the average internet surfer. It seems that businesses will justify the need for the extra cost of the internet connection. Even the mayor of Chattanooga says he will not pay for the high cost.
In the United States, high speed broadband is clearly the focus in technology of today. It is very important. This is where we are as a country technologically. High speed is vital if we’re going to expand in a global environment.
The one-gigabit-per-second internet upload and download speeds won’t be happening in the mainstream any time soon at those prices. But it will happen in the future. Chattanooga is the city to be watched. Other great things are happening in Chattanooga; keep your eyes open.
