LED Bulbs The Way To Go
LED Bulbs can save you money on your electric bill. The Westinghouse 03466 Nanolux 3-Watt G19 LED Bulb, White is guaranteed for 50,000 hours! That is 50 times more than the average light bulb, which is guaranteed for 1000 hours. This lamp bulb is good for low lighting conditions. Uses 3 watts.
The C. Crane Co, Inc. VVP Vivid Plus 36 LED Light Bulb
is guaranteed for 60,000 hours! That is 60 times more than an average light bulb. This lamp bulb is brighter than the bulb previously mentioned. Great for small areas that require low lighting. Uses 2.5 watts.
The incandescent light bulb has transformed society since its evolution in 1800. But the marketing of this light bulb is about to change, in case you haven’t already been enlightened.
The Clean Energy Act of 2007 (Wikipedia) has made provisions that will phase out the incandescent bulb in 2012. The goal is to increase the efficiency of all bulbs by 25%. Exemptions from this are specialty bulbs, appliance bulbs, colored lights, and 3-way bulbs. Bright idea, right?
The purpose of this is that the U.S. gradually attains energy independence. The government’s answer is compact fluorescent lamps (CFL’s). That’s the squiggly looking light.
There is the safety factor concerning the mercury in the CFL’s. And very few retailers are recycling these bulbs, which could add toxic waste to already overburdened landfills.
Brandy Bridges was going to be charged $2ooo to clean up a room where a CFL bulb had broken. Other consumers are going to be terrified upon hearing this news, after already cleaning up their own broken bulbs.
And then there’s the Light Emitting Diodes (MSNBC). Even though the LED technology is still in the development stage, many LED fans (NY Times) say this will be the way to go. The cost using LED’s is initially more, but over time the investment will pay off. In Omaha, Nebraska they are experimenting with LED’s to see if the benefits outweigh the costs.
And who doesn’t want the Mark Feldstein Illuminator Flashlight in Clamshell ? This is a great little gadget, very important during a power outage. Emits bright light with 1 or 3 LED’s. This one has the radio. The Mark Feldstein Illuminator Flashlight in Clamshell doesn’t have the radio. Perfect for emergencies at home, office, or traveling. Both LED flashlights are LED crankup. Requires no batteries and no bulbs. Superb!

5I bought LED lights to replace my halogen MR16 bulbs the other day from a website called LEDinsider.com that I would recommend enthusiastically. They had good service (good phone and email support), great FAQs so I knew what I needed, and competitive prices; also, their shipping was fast and the LEDs were as good as advertised. http://www.LEDInsider.com. Very good online shopping experience

13Hi – really good website you have put up. I had fun going through this posting. I did want to reply a comment to inform you that the design of this website is very aesthetically delightful. I used to be a graphic designer, now I am a copy editor in chief for a software development company. I have always enjoyed working with information processing systems and am attempting to learn website building in my free time (which there is never enough of lol).

3. Roku Purple Light Keeps Blinking ... On The Squid ► The Roku set top box updates itself often. Not long after a reset I noticed one of the Roku boxes was doing something rather odd. The purple light continued to blink and it wouldn’t stop. The Roku unit worked great, but the purple light kept blinking. The light should not be blinking all of the time.

7. Cheaper Wire For Ham Antenna Projects ... On The Squid ► Especially for listening to the lower bands in this crazy unpredictable solar cycle, I’m accustomed to building my own antennas. Thicker copper wire is usually the standard, but over the years I’ve learned that thinner gauge wire will hold out sufficiently. It’s all in the packaging. Here are a few scattered ideas.
