Hot Water Heater With Hot Water Loop
An electric hot water heater is a constant expense in the home. It is responsible for up to 25% of the electric bill. Hot water on demand is a modern luxury that is assumed by the public.
What ever did the western world do before the brilliant minds of the early 20th century came along and initiated the Current Wars? How did millions survive without the hot water heater?
There are numerous tips on how to lower water heating expenses. But, totally eliminate hot water bills? Is it humanly possible to eliminate the hot water bill? With some ingenuity and foresight this goal could be achieved.
Solar heating is a start. Ideas range from backyard simple methods, to expensive installations performed by contractors. Most average homeowners cannot afford elaborate solar heating systems.
If you have a wood stove, coal stove, or a corn stove, you qualify for free hot water. Hot water can be provided in a practical manner, especially during the winter months, as heating the home is necessary anyway.
The Hilkoil hot water loop is the ticket to eliminate that hot water bill.
Here’s the concept. Holes must be drilled into your stove, and the loop is mounted inside the stove. Water flows inside the loop, and is transferred to the electric heater that already exists. The electricity on the hot water tank will be turned off, since it won’t be necessary.
You’ll enjoy free hot water all winter. When spring arrives, you simply turn the electric back on the hot water heater, and it resumes to the neverending cycle of boiling the water. (Unless you have a solar plan for summer).
This is where solar heating could solve the issue in the summer. And everyone knows that water in any garden hose can get scorching hot. A solar heating system is a very real possibility. That’s a project to consider at another time.
