Change That America Didn’t Ask For

The House has approved the American Clean Energy And Security Act  (ACES)by a vote of 219 to 212.

Carbon tax and trade legislation, if passed by the Senate, will have created the worst economic disaster in American history.

Why the H.R. 2454 bill should not be passed:
1.  Consumers will pay more for goods; goods need electric to be produced.
2.  Consumers will pay more for electric substantially.
3.  Businesses will pay more for electric, thus giving them a major disadvantage against foreign competitors.
4.  Thousands of jobs will go overseas, since other countries have little environment restrictions. China and India will not pass such legislation that restricts industrial growth.
5.  Government will control more on construction, and real estate appraisal.
6.  Scientists and environmentalists cannot produce any meaningful facts, only speculation about global warming theory.
7.  A false premise is established, that this bill will create energy independence.
8.  This bill creates more federal government bureaucracy. Do we really need government telling us what energy to use? And how to use it?
9.  Creates green banking centers? Really? More feds?
10.  More federal regulation will only increase home mortgages.
11.  Creates carbon market derivatives. Hello Enron!
12.  Will further deindustrialize the country. Let’s hope that we don’t find ourselves in a major war, because we will not have enough manufacturing plants to produce supplies needed, such as steel, etc.

Be sure and track Congress members’ votes on this bill. What can you do about the situation? You can fire the ones that voted yes on the bill, since they did not represent your interest. Hold them accountable, as well as the president, who is also behind this very wreckless bill.

Should we go down another path that allows thousands of jobs to go overseas? Or, that will add taxes on every American citizen? That creates more federal restrictions on every single American?
