Water Won’t Fill Up In Commode

Commode won’t flush properly? Toilet problems again? Is the water not filling up like it should?

Do you have one of the new modern type tank repair kits? Like the TWI International commode tank repair kit? The weird looking ones that don’t seem to work properly?

Before calling a plumber you might want to try this first. Find two denture tablets, yes denture tablets, and insert them into the commode tank (in the back). Let the tablets dissolve overnight, or at least a couple of hours. Then try to flush afterwards. If this doesn’t work, you may need to adjust something, or try another fix.

By the way, a couple of denture tablets help to clean the toilet as well. This is good maintenance for all toilets. Just drop 1 or 2 tablets in the tank and dissolve for an hour, or at least 30 minutes. You may want to scrub the bowl lightly just to aid in the cleaning.

If you think you have a drainage problem, here is another fix. Try using 3 denture tablets and 1 cup of white vinegar in the drain or sink. Wait several minutes. Then try running some hot water until the clog unclogs.

If this doesn’t work you might want to try other options.
