We’ve Got the Fix For That

Do you get the following error message to continuously pop-up on Dreamweaver? Or something similar?

The following translators were not loaded due to errors:
Spry.htm: has configuration information that is invalid.
XSLT.htm: has configuration information that is invalid”

If so, stay calm, get a glass of water, and read this tutorial for the solution.

Solution to the Problem:

Exit out of Dreamweaver before doing the following.

Step 1. Follow one of the links below on your computer, relating to which version of Dreamweaver you own and which OS you have.

Dreamweaver CS3 on Windows Vista:
C:Users[username]AppDataRoamingAdobeDreamweaver 9

Dreamweaver CS3 on Windows XP:
C:Documents and Settings[username]Application DataAdobeDreamweaver 9

Dreamweaver 8 on Windows XP:
C:Documents and Settings[username]Application DataMacromediaDreamweaver 8

Dreamweaver 8 on Windows Vista:
C:Users[username]AppDataRoamingMacromediaDreamweaver 8

Dreamweaver CS3 on Macintosh:
Mac HD/Users/[user]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver 9/

Dreamweaver 8 on Macintosh:
Mac HD/Users/[user]/Library/Application Support/Macromedia/Dreamweaver 8/

Step 2. Find the folder that says “configuration”.

Step 3. Rename the folder to something like “Configuration Old”.

Step 4. Try loading Dreamweaver. The problem should solve. If not, I suggest you check out Adobe’s official troubleshooting guide for the topic. Good luck.
