Big Five Personality Factors

This concept is very recent, forming in the latter part of the 20th century. Also known as the “Big Five” personality dimensions.

2. Conscientiousness – A tendency to show self-discipline, act dutifully, and aim for achievement; planned rather than spontaneous behaviour. (efficient/organized vs. easy-going/careless)

3. Extraversion – Energy, positive emotions, surgency, and the tendency to seek stimulation in the company of others. (outgoing/energetic vs. shy/reserved)
