Portable Pain Beam Weapons Coming To A City Near You

President Obama speaks these words of democracy: “The Iranian people have a universal right to assembly and free speech.” Other so-called world leaders echo the same gestures. Is this democracy or hypocrisy? One way of spreading democracy is with the Active Denial System. Doesn’t this phrase literally suit the cause?

The Active Denial System (ADS) isn’t supposed to be used on protesting civilians, nor is it lethal. Who is to say that it won’t be used on rioting protesters? Is there a guarantee? What about the next terror toy on the shelf?

The ADS has three characteristics. Reports claim that it’s safe, effective, and it has tremendous range. The reports don’t say anything about this weapon causing burns. However, it can. Overexposures of either operators or targets may cause long-term damage including cancer.

According to an official military assessment, “In the event of an overexposure to a power density sufficient to produce thermal injury, there is an extremely low probability that scars derived from such injury might later become cancerous. Non-lethal? Tasers are considered to be safe also.

U.S. police in the near future could use the pain beam, inflicting pain from a distance by using beams of laser light or microwaves.

PHASR (Personnel Halting and Stimulation Response) is a terror tech weapon you could see in the near future. This is one of the “non-lethals” that will temporarily blind you. The PHASR has actually been banned in the past, but advocates have worked out deals to get around the law on this one.

Raytheon has created a small version of the ADS, called the Silent Guardian. LA County  jail has a small one mounted on the ceiling in the facility. The weapon emits an invisible beam that causes an unbearable sensation.
