YouTube Announces A Billion Views A Day
YouTube was created in February 2005 by three former PayPal employees. In November 2006, YouTube was aquired by Google for $1.65 billion. YouTube is now a subsidiary of Google. YouTube has changed the way we watch videos, and the internet landscape altogether.
YouTube was founded by Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim.
The three co-founders created YouTube in order to share videos from a dinner party with friends in San Francisco, and sending them by email was a loser.
And then on October 9, 2006 – Google (GOOG) announced the plan to aquire YouTube, based out of San Bruno, California. That was then, and now it’s three years later.
At that time, YouTube delivered more than 100 million video views per day. Chad and Steve (co-founders on YouTube) are happy to announce that YouTube currently delivers well over a billion views a day.
Chad shares the ongoing commitment: “We’re working hard to keep up with the fast pace of technology to bring you everything you would expect from the world’s largest video site: better quality; a full spectrum of choices and tools for users, partners and advertisers; and ways to make the YouTube experience your own anywhere, anytime.”

3. Roku Purple Light Keeps Blinking ... On The Squid ► The Roku set top box updates itself often. Not long after a reset I noticed one of the Roku boxes was doing something rather odd.
