Warning Description: Heat Advisory Today

While certain parts in the United States may be enduring a drought period this summer, some areas in the Midwest are getting blessed with tremendous amounts of rain this year. Some areas have been hit hard, with never before seen proportions of rain. The year has been catastrophic for some who lost everything they had.

Here’s looking at weather statistics. While far from being anything near a mathematician, I think I got this one covered.

Backyard Weather Rainfall Totals 2010
Yearly Rain: 32.24 in.
Normal Rain, year to date: 24.77 in.
Rain Surplus: 7.47 in.

That’s a seven inch surplus of rain! That seems to be an extraordinary amount of rainfall in 2010 for the Midwest. Others throughout the country are experiencing record temperatures.
