Korean History: Gojoseon, And The Goguryeo Tombs

Korean History Channel

The Korean History Channel presents this educational video. The discourse presented claims that Gojoeseon was the first state of Korea and was established in 2333 B.C.

The argument proposes that the history of Gojoseon was distorted by Japanese scholars during the Japanese Occupation Period (1910-1945) and this distorted history was introduced to the World as the true history. However, many relics were discovered and the Gojoseon’s history was recovered as true history.

The Complex of Koguryo Tombs lie in North Korea and the site consists of 30 individual tombs, located in the cities of P’yŏngyang and Namp’o.

There are well over 10,000 Goguryeo tombs. Only 90 unearthed in China and Korea have wall paintings. In May of 2006, 2,360 individual tombs were discovered at the site of the ancient Goguryeo kingdom during work on the Yunfeng Reservoir.
